Welcome to GASP Chartered October 29th, 1985 the Guilford Association of SCUBA Personnel aka GASP, Inc.  was organized. GASP, Inc. is a Team of water rescue professionals dedicated to serving the citizens of Guilford County by providing a resource for water rescue. The Team consists of dedicated members of the emergency public service agencies located within Guilford County who volunteer their time to assure that the citizens of Guilford County have a highly trained and professional water rescue team available to provide a rapid response at any time of the day or night within Guilford County.  Operations include, but are not restricted to, near drowning, diving accidents, underwater search and recovery tasks involving victims, swift water rescue, rescue assistance, or any other water-related operation approved by the Officer-in-charge and the Incident Commander. The locations of the operations shall include all areas within Guilford County, North Carolina, and when requested, mutual aid will be given to agencies outside Guilford County, at the discretion of the Officer-in-charge. The organization, its policies and its procedures are designed to fulfill the above requirements while minimizing the risk of accidental injury or illness to water.
